The main genre of art is contemporary, with some variations depending on the time of year.
The Experience of Fábrica de Arte Cubano
The Cuban Art Factory features a fully stocked bar to accompany the other attractions like live music and theater. As you enter the dimly lit warehouse, it feels almost “speakeasy-esque” like you needed a password to get inside.
When you enter, the factory is almost like a labyrinth, with many different winding paths you can take. As you traverse these paths, you find that each room has it’s own artist or theme. Each section of the warehouse acting as a completely different exhibit. Additionally in some sections are additional bars with live music or theater.
Small staircases almost like fire escapes are sporadically located throughout the exhibit. These stairs lead to two other levels of art in what you realize is a gigantic space. However save your energy on the stairs because the factory doesn’t close until 3:00AM.
